Thursday Roll Call

Good afternoon, came home from work and took a 30 minute walk then after lunch did some grocery shopping. After I came back I brushed the dogs. Going to laze around the rest of the day as my day off tomorrow has been cancelled and I will have to be at work at 6am.

Well, where did the day go? Got into work, futzed around with a bunch of paperwork, touched base with one of the part timers (she went off to a meeting), saw the next partimer for less than 2 minutes then I headed off to Barrington PD for a record's manager's meeting. I am home now after a little more than an hour, am catching up on the threads for the last few days and here in a short while I will head out and ride the ole bicycle after the traffic in town slows down.  Christine

Nothing much going on today. It is beautiful here 80 degrees and the sun is shining!!!!! I worked 9 to 5 today cutting hair did about 8 clients. We surely arent busy. not enought to keep 5 stylist busy!!!!!  I had one client come in wanted a hair cut, Blow dry Curling iron and wax and I told her her it was all alacart. She thought the blow dry and curling iron was free. I told her the price and I thought her teeth were going to fall out of her mouth!!!!! She is a nurse for a Urologist and her Fianece is a Dr.  I know she could have paid it. It all came to around 75.00 She has this ultra long hair. I work at Super cuts and everything is Alacart. Waxing is 8.00  Haircut is 14.95, Shampoo is 6.95. Blowdry is 13.00 for long hair Curling is 13.95 for the first 15 minutes you get the picture. She wanted the Blowdry and Curl for free. After she left I said to my coworker What does she think I am Diamond Jim Brady or something to that effect.  Anyway I charged her 19.95 for the Shampoo and haircut and 8.00 for the wax. She did tip me 7.00. Man Clients I dont get it!!!!! CArla

Hi Illinois!

Like many of you I was at work all day but it was a weird day. I went to the dentist first and she noticed my weight loss. Yeah NSV! Then I saw patients till noon and then--ugg! We are moving to different offices so I packed books and files, the maintenance guy moved them and I unpacked them. Now I feel filthy! We knew we would be moving eventually but were told Tuesday we have to be out by the 25th! There are 8 of us moving now including the main office, all the records, the waiting room, etc. The last 4 or 5 of us will move in August but they will now be working on a different floor from the main office and the waiting room so it will be awful for them too. 

Looking forward to the party on Saturday. Kay is coming too, so you can meet her. She reads even though she won't post.

Well, today I had my 3 month follow up with Dr. Kane.  He was ok with my 50lb weight loss, but I am disappointed because I did not get to the goal weight he wanted.          Oh well, I will work hard and see what happens when I go see him in July. The day was super nce and I got to enjoy the weather with the top down on the car. while out and about.
